In all my 14 years of practicing feng shui in my own life and helping others, the most rewarding for me is when someone’s life is improved. I never know how the feng shui will manifest as I do my part and leave the rest to the universe. As a reiki master, my work with energy has provided me with valuable tools to help my feng shui clients receive the best results possible. I don’t believe I would have been nearly as effective as a consultant without reiki. I always ask to be used for the highest good possible for my clients and that their space be surrounded in divine white light for protection and healing. I have found this to be profound and my clients do feel it.
There are many applications for feng shui. It can be used to design, remodel, stage, clear, or build a space for more harmony. It can be used to help heal issues relating to one’s career, health, or relationships. The one area that has been the most amazing to me has been in the area of health. I know setting up a space to feel more sacred, peaceful, and nurturing, can have positive effects on one’s health but I have been in awe of its healing effects.
I had a client a few years ago that was beautiful, vibrant and cheerful. She was a surgical nurse who dealt with much stress on a daily basis. She asked me to help her make her home more harmonious. I gave her some feng shui tips. It was more of a redesign to open up the energy and allow for the chi to flow easily throughout the home as well as create a sense of peace.
I usually like to hear back from clients to see how they are doing. I had not heard from her. I tried to contact her but did not get any responses. A year passed then one day I saw her. I was at a designer showcase and as I was entering she was coming out. At first I did not recognize her as she had a bandanna on her head. She was bald underneath. She was quite fashionable so I knew this was not good. She said hello and went on. When I got home I called her. We talked and she said she had been dealing with cancer but that it was all gone. She was on the road to better health. She wondered if the feng shui had anything to do with it since she was diagnosed right after implementing the advice. In a way it was related but not in the way she might have thought. I told her that by opening up the chi in her home, it opened it up in her body. Whatever is blocked will move and be released for healing. Had she not done the feng shui, her cancer might have gone unnoticed until it was too late to do anything. She felt that made sense and was grateful to me. Today she is alive and healthy.
