The Austin Alchemist has been serving the Greater Austin Community since July 27th, 2010.
We utilize Facebook and email marketing to let our community know about your offerings. If you have a holistic, metaphysical or spiritual business and/or events, this is a great place to be found. Note: We only cover local events, news and businesses in the Central Texas area. Please read the Advertising Guidelines before submitting your listing.
Practitioner and Business Directory Pages
The Austin Alchemist offers local practitioners a page in the Practitioner Directory and local holistic businesses a page in the Business Directory. The cost is $39 for the first year, then $10 annually to host and maintain after that. Directory pages includes a picture (of you or your logo), all your contact info, a link to your website and a description of your offerings. Then your page will be inserted under the table categories of your choice, usually three.
$9 weekly event ads
These hard-working ads are posted on The Austin Alchemist in the left hand column for visitors to find, posted to our Facebook fan page, added to the calendar of events and will go out in TAA email news on Thursday mornings. They are specifically for events that people can physically attend and are just $9 per week per ad.

Please note: We are not open on weekends or holidays. The deadline for event ads to get into the Thursday newsletter is the previous Friday by noon. Ads are worked on a first ordered, first served basis. To maximize your coverage and investment, the further in advance you place your order, the better.

Special Note: Advertisers must currently live, office or have an event occurring in the greater Austin area. If you aren’t sure if you’re close enough send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Weekly want ads
These ads are posted on The Austin Alchemist in the left hand column, intermixed with the weekly event ads. Each ad is shared to our social media outlets: Twitter, Google+ and Facebook fan page (unless you request it not to be), and will go out in TAA weekly email news on Thursday mornings.
Want ads fall into 3 main categories and are priced accordingly.
- Commercial listings for job postings, sales specials, businesses for sale, requests for applicants, etc. are $12/week and receive a double social media campaign.
- Personal sale ads for local used BMSH related and tangible items (ie like selling your personally owned crystal bowl, tarot cards, BMSH books, rattles and drums, etc.) are $9/week.
- Personal “Seeking” or “Wanted” ads for local BMSH related and tangible items are subject to approval and are kept short and brief in nature. However, these ads are $9/month.
We only accept body, mind, spirit, holistic community related ads – interests that are unique to our community. We do not accept ads for general auto sales, relationships, dating, etc.. Though we will accept personal community ads for rooms for rent.
Regardless of the type, all want ads must be approved and must comply with our advertising guidelines. If you have questions, just reach out and ask! ;)

Sidebar display ads
As we transition our site to a new design – we have newly sized sidebar ads!
These ads are found in the right hand column, (300×200). The investment for these ads are $99 for three months. I can create the sidebar ad for you (additional fee for creation) or use your ad copy. These display ads can link to your website or your post on The Austin Alchemist. These ads can be for practitioners or events. The sidebar ads are static so your ad would appear on every page viewed.
Header banner ads
This 565×100 ad is found at the top of the site in the header. It is sold on a weekly or monthly basis, at a maximum of one month per ad. (In other words, the banner cannot be purchased for more than a month for any one event.) The investment for this ad is $25 per week or $99 per month. This ad is also static and is visible on every page. I can create the header ad for you or use your ad copy. This ad can link directly to your website or event registration page. We also have a front page banner that becomes available when the site header banner is taken. It only shows up on the front page. If you are interested in this, please contact us directly.
