October 8th and 9th, 2011
The Austin Yoga Festival was formed to celebrate the traditions of yoga, by bringing together Austin’s finest yoga studios, teachers, ayurvedic practitioners, and holistic wellness providers. We aim to raise awareness of the benefits of yoga, to provide a family friendly space to learn about and practice yoga, listen to ayurvedic and wellness providers, shop among yogic vendors, listen to yoga music, enjoy healthy food and beverages, chant, sing and of course have some fun.
The Festival will benefit those in need through our beneficiaries Capital Area Food Bank, Community Yoga and the Yoga Care Foundation.
Yoga promotes health and wellness that stem from it’s physical, mental and spiritual disciplines. The festival will offer a wide range of yoga classes, informational yogi health sessions, music, and chanting. All levels are welcome from beginners to advanced yoga enthusiasts, and we plan to have a full range of class styles including:
We are scheduling two days full of over 30 yoga classes, information sessions, and workshops from some of Austin’ finest yoga teachers and presenters, and we’re adding more classes daily.
