Violet Song, PhD, LAc
Prior to beginning her employment with AOMA, Dr. Song worked as an instructor at Chengdu University, lecturing on the science of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) prescriptions & TCM herbology since 2005 and on TCM pharmacology since 2002. She has participated in research studies investigating the compatibility, pharmacology, and toxicology of TCM formulas and Chinese ethnic medicine, including Tibetan medicinal herbs.
Amelia Love, ND
After completing her BS in chemistry, Dr. Love worked as a math and science teacher and participated in genetics research with the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Her interest in natural health and patient education drew her toward naturopathic medicine and, in 2010 she completed her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Dr. Love now maintains a private practice in Austin, TX, focusing on women’s health and pediatrics.
Amy Myers, MD
Dr. Amy Myers is a medical doctor with extensive training in functional medicine, integrative medicine and nutrition. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at University of Maryland. Prior to opening Austin UltraHealth, she worked as an ER physician at the University Medical Center Brackenridge and Dell Children’s Medical Center.
Elliot Trester, MD
Some of you may know Elliot Trester, MD from his first solo practice in Montopolis about twenty years ago, back in the days when he was delivering babies and he and his wife were having a baby. He met Connie Ryan, then as a colleague, and as she followed his wife through her delivery. The next ten years, Dr. Trester’s medical practice somewhat changed direction as he moved to Central Austin and worked with the people of Jefferson Street Family Practice. Dr. Trester has been with Central Family Practice since 2006. He treats both adults and children in his practice.
Jeffrey Harper
Jeffrey Harper is devoted to changing people’s life through the innate power of the body. After an accident and the tragic death of his mother he moved himself and his family to Marietta, Georgia to get his doctorate in Chiropractic. While enrolled at Life University he pursued Chiropractic Functional Neurology and Pediatrics as specialties. He is currently pursuing a post doctorate diplomate in both areas. He will be listed on the International Pediatrics Chiropractors Association website as a Chiropractor certified in Webster’s Technique which is a technique that helps breech babies by providing the optimal amount of room in the pelvis for the baby to move.
