NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. NLP is a way to use the language of the mind to create the life experiences you desire.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming harnesses the power of thought, choice, and how our thinking influences our behavior to create excellence in our personal and professional lives.
NLP is an opportunity for the challenges in your life to become a catalyst for your personal and professional transformation. Think of it as an opportunity to rewire your brain. When we elicit the desired state and focus on the energy of our heart, we create the space for profound and lasting healing and transformation.
NLP tells us that human perception, thinking, and learning are a result of programming within our mind and nervous system. It also tells us our internal languages directly impact our experience. And finally, NLP tells us that our ability to learn and create is a function of our mental programming. Our ability to manifest personal and professional success is directly impacted by our thought and behavior patterns.
NLP involves two basic constructs.
1. The map is not the territory. In other words, there is no objective reality. There is only our perception of reality or subjective experience. It is our neuro-linguistic map that determines our behavior and our life experiences. Our internal map of reality can limit us or empower us.
2. Our life experience and our mindset are processes based within a human ecological system. Our bodies, our emotional states, and our energy system cannot be isolated from one another and naturally seek balance and optimization.
Richard Bandler and John Grinder originally developed Neuro-Linguistic Programming to study the patterns (programming) that result from the connection between our brain and nervous system (neuro), our language (linguistic), and our human experience. NLP supports the idea that this connection is responsible for all behavior and that your behaviors can change using these systems.
Bandler and Grinder first developed Neuro-Linguistic Programming in the mid-1970s with a focus on the relationship between an individual’s brain and body. Later, in the 1980s, the work of Robert Dilts and Judy De Lozier extended this relationship of cause and effect to include oneself and others. The work of Robert Dilts and Todd Epstein, also in the late 1980s, further extended the existing models of NLP with an emphasis on ecology to include greater systems such as groups, organizations, and culture.
NLP coaches provide a variety of strategies, tools, and skills to work with your limiting beliefs and unwanted behavior. These methods and strategies were developed from research on patterns of excellence in a variety of fields such as counseling, sales, business, education, health, and law.
The newer generation of Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a multifaceted process that involves strategy and the mental processes that govern our behavior, identity, vision, and personal mission. NLP is the idea that every experience we have is not “reality,” but a product of the way we are filtering and perceiving information that is coming into our mind and our other systems such as our energy field, our physiology, and our emotional state. It is the idea that we are relying on our senses to create our internal experiences regarding our life situations.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming can be used to create a state of being that positively affects our behavior. When you understand the connection between your mind, your body, and your experience, then, you have the opportunity to create more desirable choices for your life. NLP gives us the power of choice, the potential for undeniable change, and the ability to experience more freedom.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is intelligent thought and empowers you to be more successful in all areas of your life. NLP might be for you if you are interested in doing some deep work, you are highly motivated, and you are ready for transformation and freedom in your life. I practice high-frequency energy healing in Austin, Texas and am a certified NLP Coach. NLP begins with setting achievable goals for specific, desired, and testable outcomes. For example, maybe you have decided it is time to release elements of your past to make room for your future. Neuro-Linguistic Programming can be used to heal and move beyond these events or the resulting mindset that was created. Or, maybe you would like to grow a business and contribute to the overall well being of our planet. NLP can assist with your identity, vision, and mission as you explore the relationship between your own mind, the mind of your body, and the mind of the systems around you. Whatever outcome you desire is within your reach. NLP serves as a change agent for your personal metamorphosis.
