Take a break from the stresses of everyday life and join us for a two-day spiritual retreat on the outskirts of Austin.
Inside a cozy retreat center hidden by trees, you’ll learn all about Daoism and Daoist practices.
We’ll spend the day meditating, practicing qigong, enjoying nature, and more.
This retreat is open to people of all spiritual beliefs and experience levels – just bring an open mind! After the weekend, you’ll find yourself relaxed and full of new knowledge.
More Details About This Retreat
This event is meant to introduce people to Daoist practices (meditation, qigong, tai chi, study of text, etc.) in a relaxing environment. Daoism is an ancient Chinese system of religion and philosophy which incorporates many spiritual practices. The goal is to also provide a getaway that is both soothing and full of information. We have a full schedule for both days which includes bonus materials for overnight participants. We will be splitting up activities with lectures on Daoist texts, concepts, herbs, etc.
Two teachers (John and Azucena) will be leading the retreat. Both of us are Daoists and do tai chi, qigong, martial arts, and medical qigong. Part of the goal of this event is to teach about a less-known spiritual system, but also to give participants a break from mundane life. We’re offering an overnight option too which includes stay in a comfortable, air-conditioned cabin with a bed and shower and access to extra material and events. All participants will also be provided with four meals over the weekend.
