The Astrological Society of Austin is bringing StarryTeller ‘Gemini’ Brett Joseph to Austin this October, when he will be giving an astrology lecture and workshop.
Brett will demystify Astrology, bringing us into a simple and direct experience of the Mysteries of the Night Sky.
Come experience the magic of astrology under the Texas night sky!

Friday, October 12th
7pm – 9:30pm
Our Weekend with Gemini Brett will begin with a lecture at AOMA on Friday night entitled, ‘The Way of Seven Rays and the Translation of Light,’ when he will walk us through the simple mathematical underpinnings of Astrology. As a StarryTeller, Brett will demystify traditional aspect theory through an exploration of sacred geometry, musical harmony, and living astronomy. Why are there Twelve Signs and why did the ancients refer to the 30 and 150 degree aspects as aversions?
Saturday, October 13th
1pm – 6pm
Saturday Afternoon Gemini Brett will lead a workshop at Lotus Bend Sanctuary entitled, ‘Curing the Blind Spots,’ bringing traditional astrological techniques down to Earth. Working with our own charts, we will focus on triple aspects to remedy our natal aversions. We will also explore the Translation of Light, intentional initiation through Planetary transits, synastry, fixed stars, as well as good old free will and Earthside devotion.
Saturday, October 13th
7:30pm – 10pm
Saturday Night, we will enter Sky School. Brett will lead us into the night sky for a direct experience of the origins of astrology, walking us through the basics in a firsthand manner. We will go out under the stars and learn to see the Astrological Houses as eyewitnesses. With astro-drama and improv, astronomy, myth and the magic of the Zodiac, we will find a direct cosmic connection under the Fall Texas sky.
