Saturday and Sunday February 16th and 17th, 2013 A Shamanic Passages and Body Sense Experience with Gerry and Donna Starnes
What are authentic, long-term relationships?
Every couple wants to establish a deep and strong relationship together that can last for many years. It is the relationship dream to grow together and support one another, to establish a family, to be together in the elder years, to be soul mates.
Yet in this society, this dream can be difficult. There are tremendous pressures, little solid training, and few examples of what that actually looks like and how it might work.
Gerry and Donna Starnes have been in a long-term relationship for more than 35 years. In this time they have experienced the stresses of a two-income household, the effects of child rearing, interpersonal conflicts, deaths of friends and family, and more. They are also separate beings, individuals, and leaders of different communities.
In this experiential workshop, Gerry and Donna seek to share with you the guidance and lessons they have learned. You will gain insights into your individual and joint view of your relationship, learn the assumptions and patterns you bring to it, and work together to create a new vision of your future together.
This workshop is for:
~Couples/partners seeking to deepen their relationship.
~Couples/partners seeking to repair a struggling relationship.
~Individuals exploring creating a new, deeper relationship with another.
~Family members/siblings desiring a more meaningful relationship.
~In addition to information, this workshop includes exercises for both personal and interpersonal learning. Come dressed comfortably and able to move – walk, dance, and play!
In this workshop:
~Learn more about your view of what ‘relationship’ means.
~Identify the assumptions and patterns that you bring to the relationship and how it is created or affected by them.
~Examine what ‘authentic relationship’ means and how it applies to your current relationship.
~Learn the three fundamental human needs and the three key characteristics of successful longterm relationships … and identify where you are in these matrixes.
~Create a new contract with your partner to assist the continued growth of both within the expanded relationship.
What To Bring With You
You want to be as comfortable as possible. Floor pillows and yoga blankets are available, along with some folding chairs. You might want to bring:
