NO MUD… NO LOTUS…
A place to reconnect with nature, with others… and with yourself.
Lotus Bend Sanctuary is here to serve the needs of the awakened community for networking and facilitating.
Just 20 mins South of downtown Austin, tucked into the back of an almost forgotten little South Travis County neighborhood at the end of the road, on a seven-acre pie-shaped piece of land, which backs into 1000’s of acres of undeveloped hill country, you will find our unique little day retreat space and emerging eco-village.
Founded in 2017, after two devastating floods, Lotus Bend has blossomed into our vision of the awakening awareness on the planet. We work with practitioners who are striving for integrity, honesty, and radical acceptance by creating a place for conscious communion, safe open dialogue & personal reconciliation. The Sanctuary has branched out to serve a variety of communities. Local non-profits and professional organizations have used the space for teaching and team-building. Many deep-dive workshops and intensive healing retreats have taken place both inside the main space and outside on the common grounds. We have played host to many ritual healing ceremonies and rites of passage.
The central house contains the main space where most workshops are held; there are two adjoining break-out rooms and an attached open kitchen with serving counter and full-sized refrigerator. Outside, you’ll find the koi pond, the large Anahata heart center fire pit, the Vishuddha footbridge, the Ajna mind labyrinth, Our Lady Katherine’s Garden, the Naga Buddha yoga deck, and various corners of interest on the 3 acres of ‘common grounds.’
The Sri Yantra main space can comfortably hold up to 45 seated, with two additional side break-out spaces available, if needed. Most events are capped at or below 50 persons. Parking is limited. Padded folding chairs, round discussion tables, a/v monitor set-up, yoga mats, and other amenities available, if needed.
The Shift Foundation, in conjunction with Lotus Bend Development Center, continues to fertilize and grow Lotus Bend Sanctuary.
