A class taught in the style of journal writing workshops… guides women to write their stories and discover their voice… gentle encouragement in a non-academic, creative environment… no writing experience necessary... We write by hand in class - just bring paper or a journal and pen or pencil.
Two summer sessions: Tuesdays, June 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2011. Tuesdays, July 5, 12, 19 and 26, 2011. Writing Your Life as a Woman offers non-academic, creative writing class. The non-academic, creative writing workshop leads women through in-class writing exercises they then read out loud. The gentle motivation and inspiration guides women to see the value in their life's journey and develop skills to assist in writing projects beyond the class. Writers of all levels of experience benefit from the workshop, as well as non-writers, and no writing experience is required.
Saturday and Sunday February 5th and 6th
Designer Sharon Miller's work is known for touching all the senses and harmoniously balancing and lifting the energy of residents. Through Calming Spaces Interiors, Design and Remodeling she addresses the functional needs of a space while applying the principles of Feng Shui. Using the three "R's" of design: recover, refurbish and re-purpose, she also turns bargain furniture into designer pieces on a nominal budget. Her vignettes at Home Consignment Center feature this design balancing act and serve as examples for her free workshops.
