This is our last discussion about the Four Agreements in this series, and we will be discussing “Always Do Your Best.” I prefer this agreement as a universal truth, rather than an instruction to “do” or “don’t do” something. My most current re-write is “Everything you do serves you.” This is because everything you do DOES serve you, even if you don’t realize it at that time, and whether your judge considers it your “best” or “worst.” This concept is key to understanding the last of the Four Agreements, because if you know that you are always doing what serves you, there is no way you can judge yourself for “doing your best” or “not doing your best” or “doing good” or “doing bad.” Fully accepting this concept can bring you peace and curiosity about how any event in your life is serving you.
As with previous discussions, we will bring the masteries of awareness and transformation to bear to first bring it into our awareness what it means to know that everything you do serves you, and then shift our perspective using the Toltec tools to help us to live in the peace that comes from knowing that we always ARE doing our best, and that our best is always changing from moment to moment.
This class will involve experiential work in addition to the discussion, so bring your journal or a notepad and something to write with, and come with an open heart!
We will have coffee (regular and decaf), and hot water if you want to bring some tea, or filtered water available.
As always, space is limited so if you are interested in coming please RSVP on our website at www.meetup.com/georgetownseekers to ensure there will be space for you.
I look forward to seeing everyone there!
