Saturday, September 6th – Sunday, September 7th, 2014.
For the past several years, Austin area folks have been asking for a workshop on African-Inspired Spirituality. Now is your opportunity!
Scarlet Woman Lodge O.T.O. presents a full weekend of workshops on Vodou with Bozanfè Bon Oungan of New Orleans.
Bozanfè is a Haitian-trained houngan (priest) who will lead us in two full days of learning about Vodou, the Lwa, and working with the Ancestors.
Here are just some of the topics to be discussed:
- What Vodou really is, and what it isn’t
- How it formed and evolved into its current form
- ‘Types” of Vodou
- Ancestor work, including altar work, grave work, ritual protocols and forms of address
- The Lwa by category: Rada, Petro, Ghede, and sub rites
- Requisite altar areas, and the protocols, ritual forms, and forms of address for them
- And more!
Register now, as space is limited!
