Dr. Kendel Lipe runs a private, integrative physical therapy practice focused on myofascial release, chronic pain, pelvic floor therapy, and trauma recovery.
I have studied directly under John Barnes, the master of myofascial release, and I believe that fascia is an important gateway between our intrinsic spiritual self and the external world.
Fascia stores memories, traumas, and holding patterns, and I help patients come back into areas of their bodies they have dissociated or disconnected from, enabling their subconscious healer to find a new balance in that area and for them to feel at home in their bodies again. I also incorporate various mindfulness and meditation techniques in conjunction with myofascial release.
I additionally offer pelvic floor therapy for people of all genders, addressing bowel, bladder, and sexual dysfunction in a safe environment. Other tools that I can incorporate into sessions include trigger point dry needling, myokinesthetics, custom orthotic casting, strain/counter strain, craniosacral therapy, visceral massage, and more. I am passionate about empowering patients with the tools to heal themselves going forward.
I am a specialist and believe my gifts can be powerful tools for many on their healing journeys. However, I recognize that I am not a specialist in all aspects of physical therapy, and I am not afraid to say ‘I don’t know,’ and to refer to another member of a healing team. It is important that we are the right fit for each other, so please feel free to text or email me and set up a time for a free 10-minute phone consultation.
I have added a new staff member this year, Laura Wilson, PT, DPT, who specializes in deep somatic energy work, pelvic floor, visceral, and craniosacral work. We both work with all adults and kids ages 2 and older.

Testimonials and Reviews – What Patients Say about Dr. Lipe’s Work
“Dr. Lipe’s gentle and confident demeanor made me feel comfortable enough to not only share really personal information about issues I was having with my pelvic floor but also feel safe enough to actually accept the help that I needed. She took the time to listen and understand my history. She is professional and effective. Thanks to Dr. Lipe, I finally got the relief I needed and was able to move on and enjoy parts of my life that I had been missing.” – Marguerite F.
“I started seeing Dr. Lipe as a patient in December 2020, and I’ve experienced more dramatic improvement in my joint pain than with any other provider. Although I was initially referred to Dr. Lipe for pelvic floor therapy, her knowledge extends to other areas of concern. During our first visit, she asked me what I wanted out of our time together; I replied that I hoped she could offer a more “whole body” approach to my pain. Dr. Lipe delivered and far exceeded my expectations; her practice seamlessly integrates myofascial release, myokinesthetics, dry needling, and at-home exercises, just to name a few. She is extremely knowledgeable about hypermobility and Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which is hard to come by in Austin. Dr. Lipe addresses not just my hip instability, but EDS-related pain in my knees, feet, and even neck and shoulders. If you are looking for an intelligent, compassionate, and personable PT, I highly recommend Dr. Lipe.” – Jillian H.
“Dr. Lipe is a delightful, intelligent, and grounded doctor, and am so thankful I was referred to her. One of her specialties is in dysautonomia and she uses a variety of techniques to affect the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems including deep myofascial release, cupping, pt tape, vasovagal stimulation, and others. I know all these because she explains the science behind her techniques and if it is something I can do at home, she shows me how to do it. She is very in tune with circulation and energies in the body much based on her own experience with dysautonomia as well as her qualifications in PT and deep myofascial tissue work. She tailors each session to you and gives exercises to strengthen and maintain that energized feeling from the sessions.” – Emily M.
