Friday, January 24th – Sunday, January 26th, 2014. Level I Reiki – Shoden with Dr. Lyn Schroeder. As taught by The International House of Reiki
Shoden means “First Teachings” in Japanese and is the pre-requisite to Okuden, which means “Inner Teachings.”
Shoden teaches you how to practice healing the self and the basics about helping others. At this level, the student is heading out on a self-discovery path, which is just the beginning.
You will learn the history or Reiki, cultural background of the Japanese people, its principles, ideals, and techniques. There is a brief introduction into Esoteric Anatomy. You will learn the hand positions and how to sense, feel, and scan the body for energy blockages. You will learn how to give a Reiki treatment on yourself and on others. It is a 2-day workshop with an introductory session the evening before the workshop.
Each student will receive attunements and reijus, which will open the chakras for the flow of the Reiki energy. Reiki I works on the physical level. Some students will be interested in using Reiki only on themselves. In those cases, the Level I class is all that is necessary for training.
After Level I, the student is encouraged to work on themselves and friends/relatives to learn the subtle sensations and how the body feels afterward. It is also a self-healing process of all levels of body, mind and soul. It is the start of a new life path for many people.
Class is limited and pre-registration is required for this event.
