Georgetown Area Seekers is hosting discussions about The Four Agreements, a book by don Miguel Ruiz, and specifically how to implement the principles contained in the book to help bring peace to our busy lives.
This month we are discussing “Don’t Make Assumptions.” This is an important agreement because assumptions are where we create stories and explanations around events that we don’t understand, which we then emotionally react to, which leads to drama and suffering, mostly for us.
As with the other agreements, we can bring the Toltec masteries of awareness and transformation to bear to first bring it into our awareness when we make assumptions, and then shift our perspective using the Toltec tools to help us stop doing that and end the drama and suffering that results.
This class will involve some experiential work in addition to the discussion, so bring your journal or a notepad and something to write with, and come with an open heart!
The discussion will be led by EaglesVision, who has been studying Toltec wisdom for 8 years with various Toltec teachers.
