Friday – July 28th, 2023.
Join Mark Herron, Co-Owner of Sukha Yoga, and David Lauterstein, Co-founder, Lauterstein-Conway Massage School, and author of the new book “The Memory Palace of Bones,” to explore the deepest structures and energies in your body.
When we do yoga, we engage not just muscles and ligaments but, so importantly, our bones! Yoga emphasizes stretching of soft tissues; but underneath them are our bones and the energy flowing through us at our core. We forget that our bones are alive!
David and Mark will guide us with yoga, meditation, and awareness, through this wonderful deepest living layer within and also demonstrate a therapy, Zero Balancing, focused on inner peace and the skeletal system.
About David Lauterstein –
I’ve been fascinated since 1975 by receiving, now teaching, and practicing massage and bodywork for over 40 years. That led to myself and John Conway founding The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School in Austin in 1989. Back in 1986, having studied many forms of bodywork, I felt there was something I wasn’t touching at all. What could it have been? Then I attended a lecture by Dr. Fritz Smith, the founder of Zero Balancing, who explained that the deepest layer of our anatomy – the bones – also convey the deepest energy flows. I realized this was the missing piece in my work – what we feel and know in our bones. Zero Balancing is the only therapy that explicitly gives one the knowledge and practical skills to address this layer of the person, structurally and energetically.
David Lauterstein is the author of 5 books on massage and bodywork, among them the recently published, “The Memory Palace of Bones: Exploring Embodiment through the Skeletal System,” co-authored with Dr. Jeff Rockwell, DC.
