Friday - August 19th, 2011 - Presented by the Astrological Society of Austin. Astrology, in one form or another, is central to virtually all traditional and archaic cultures prior to the modern west. Similarly, these cultures express themselves through myth and manifest a mythological perspective. It is only in the “scientific” modern west with its object oriented, literal minded perspective that astrology and myth are both debunked and seen as false “superstitions” that are just curious relics of a primitive and ignorant past.
