Voice Mapping/VibroAcoustics – Matt Kramer

Michele Charette hosts Matt Kramer - January 14, 15 and 16, 2011.

Voice Mapping and VibroAcoustics are the 2 healing modalities that Matt is presenting Friday night. The private sessions that I’m booking on Saturday are for the same, but more in-depth. The appointments run 1 ½ to 2 hours. Sunday is a workshop on Relationship Skills Training for Couples or Singles.

Voice mapping helps people retrain their brain so they can overcome bad habits, end self sabotaging behavior and heal the consequences of buried/subconscious emotional stress and trauma. The voice mapping process uses biofeedback with the frequencies in the client's voice. At the House of Light, Matt will be providing free individual mini-sessions so you can experience both voice mapping and vibroacoustic sound therapy.

Basic Watsu® Class with Kandis Hill

January 15th and 16th, 2011

Basic Watsu® Class is a 16 hour introduction to Watsu® (water shiatsu) a type of massage/bodywork done in a warm shallow pool. Texas massage therapist may get 16 hours of CEU's. Learning the heart, breath connection, like in Tai Chi, you can stay grounded in your stance while you float and stretch someone to the rhythm of your connected breath.

You will be led through a simple but complete form. During a session it is not unusual to reach a non ordinary state, similar to meditation, or some receivers feel they drift in and out of sleep or conscious awareness. You can take this course to deepen your meditation, your relationship to water, your connection to others. There will be no pressure to "learn the form", but those who choose to can follow this with the Transition Flow that expands this Basic Flow to complete a Watsu® 1 class. As in each stage of a Watsu® program, the form learned has its own organic unity and can be repeated over and over without loosing its freshness or benefits for both giver and receiver.

We will have a group Aura Soma Reading to begin. Everyone selects an Aura Soma bottle which they are most attracted to. Each person's selection benefits the whole group. Based on the bottle selections, I will give a reading for the whole group. The reading gives us an idea of where our soul is working at the moment. Along with the reading, we receive the vibrational support of the Aura Soma Bottles for our Soul's Journeys.

For the Pure Soul Alchemy Session, we will set and our individual intentions based upon what is on the landscape of our awareness at that time (you may also bring a list of items you'd like put into the session as well). Our combined intentions make the session that much more potent for us. What one person intends/declares affects all the others positively and powerfully.

Winter Solstice Concert at Unity Church of the Hills

Join us at the Winter Solstice Concert as we bring the events of 2010 to completion, and prepare for the new year. Performers include Paul Hubbert, on crystal bowls and vocals; and Steve Daniel on didgeridoo.

The Winter Solstice is the longest day of and, traditionally, the most important festival of the year as it marks the birth of the Solar Child. Many traditions celebrate Childrens Day to honor our children and bring warmth, light and cheerfulness into the dark time of the year. The Winter Solstice is a time of affirming faith in the re-emergence of earthly life in the Spring and also symbolically, in the soul's survival beyond death. Days near the Solstice are the most mystical, the deepest and most reflective time of the year and mark a crucial point in the natural cycle of life, a most powerful time to meditate and do ritual. The sun begins anew its journey toward longer days, times of new growth and renewal of the world once again. It is time to deepen and reflect on all that we have learned during the last nine months, since the Spring Equinox. In order for a new path to begin, the old one must end!
